Privacy

The public journal has no registration, advertising trackers or contact forms. Your answers in the interactive walkthrough are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server. A shared link contains only a code for the chosen result. The hosting provider may retain technical request logs. Links to Amazon and the book website open external services governed by their own privacy policies.

For view counts and statistics, we store only the page, date, country code and a random identifier for that page opening. A separate identifier is created for each page and kept in the browser tab until it closes, so reopening the page does not increase the count. We do not store IP addresses, precise locations, device details or a person identifier. Netlify estimates the country from the network request. Data is stored on Netlify and is available to the site owner as totals. Requests with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not recorded. Counts represent page openings, rather than unique people.
